Kenny is a designer and writer exploring rural and urban hinterlands in a changing climate. He was born in New Orleans (Bulbancha) and grew up throughout the South. After his design/build education at Auburn University’s Rural Studio, he’s explored natural building, construction project management, affordable housing design, and print publishing. He enjoys community-driven media, making things by hand, and building the world we want to live in.
He helps publish The Last Straw magazine and The Green River Observer newspaper, and leads affordable housing projects at Epicenter. He serves on the board of the Carbon Emery Housing Authority, and supports other efforts to provide dignified housing for all. Kenny lives among the sagebrush in Green River, Utah in the unceded ancestral land of the Sheberetch Ute people. He can be reached via the USPS at: PO Box 353 Green River, UT 84525
